Serie or also “D Series”, are expressions used in the 70s and 80s to name homosexual or effeminate man, that appear in Martin and Leon dictionaries of slang, but we could not find an explanation of the origin or motives. The relation with homosexuality could be an issue of quality, as A series could be better than D series, considering homosexuality as something defective. We have also found “B Series” which reminds us of the expression of Finnish language B-Rapun Poika or boy of B stairs.
