Hungarian is a language belonging to Uralic family. It is spoken in Hungary and in all neighboring countries. Spoken by more than fourteen million people is an official language in addition to Hungary, in Serbia and Ukraine.
Although in Hungary homosexuality has been legal since 1961, there are certain anti-discrimination laws, and the surveys show a progressive social acceptance of sexual diversity, these social changes have not translated into legislative initiatives in favor of the rights of the LGBT community, but on the contrary, since in 2012 the constitution was modified to define marriage as that celebrated between a man and a woman. It is allowed a kind of civil union registration, stripped of rights, homoparental adoption is not allowed, nor the participation of transgender people in the army. Hungary was the first country from the eastern bloc to celebrate LGBT pride, the Budapest Pride, since 1997.
