How to say gay in Macedonian
Below is the word of our Macedonian Gay Dictionary that we will expand in new editions. If you know any more, please, contact us. But first some information about the language and where it is spoken.
Macedonian is an Indo-European language, spoken by about 2 million people, mainly in the Republic of Macedonia, where it is the official language.
The case of Macedonia should rethink the requirements for admission to the Council of Europe since it forces the decriminalization of homosexuality but nothing else. And this is what has happened in Macedonia, which has arrived up to there, but not beyond. In 2015, with an overwhelming majority, the parliament approved the constitutional amendment to define marriage as that celebrated between a man and a woman. There are no anti-discrimination laws nor against hate speech, a civil union is not alow and neither, of course, homoparental adoption. Fortunately, in Macedonia, there are three LGBT organizations and one aid center. In the capital, Skopje, pride is celebrated inside behind closed doors, but it is celebrated, in what was the reign of Alexander the Great and Hephaestion.
We highlight in our Macedonian Gay Dictionary the expresion Peškir (towel), shared with the Serbian Gay Dictionary.
